Facility and laboratory

Our products are obtained on our supercritical CO2 extraction line and measured against the parameters on the product sheet. This page shows the line itself and the values we measure.

In brief.

extraction agent
Natural carbon dioxide; no co-solvent in today's products Brand statement
CO2 loop
CO2 that turns back into gas in the separator is recovered and reused Brand statement
Maximum operating temperature
+80 °C Brand statement
Automation
PLC, 15 inch touch panel, unlimited recipes, data logging Brand statement

In the extractor, pressurised CO2 passes through the plant material; in the separators the pressure drops stage by stage, the extract is collected and the CO2 that turns back into gas is recovered into the loop. Settings are saved as recipes; the data of every run is kept in the automation system.

03Analysis

What the sheet measures, and why.

  1. Physical propertiesAppearance, colour, odour, flavour, density, solubility in waterIdentity and consistency of the product
  2. Iodine and saponification valueIodine value per product; saponification 180–200 mg KOH/gDegree of unsaturation and fatty acid structure
  3. Fatty acid distributionPalmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, linolenic, punicic and others (%)Composition of the oil; charted on each ingredient page
  4. Peroxide value0–10 meq O2/kgIndicator of oxidation; for shelf life
  5. Moisture, volatiles, impuritiesMoisture and volatiles (105 °C) max. 0.2 %; insoluble impurities max. 0.05 %; soap 0 ppmCleanliness and stability of the product
  6. Product-specific valuesThymoquinone (black seed, HPLC: ≈ 4.61 % w/w), total phenols (grape seed), total antioxidant capacity (pumpkin seed, CUPRAC)The value that sets the product apart

Values are taken from the sheets of the seven products (issued 18.02.2025), the pumpkin seed oil analysis report (19.08.2025) and the black seed oil thymoquinone chromatogram (HPLC, 06.09.2023). Products are sample based today; at serial production every batch comes with its own analysis report.
